New Era as 3D Printing Revolutionises the Construction Industry

The construction industry is entering a new era as 3D printing technology moves from pilot projects into mainstream use. Once seen as futuristic, 3D-printed elements are now proving to be faster, more economical, and more sustainable than many traditional methods.

At Triangle, we are embracing this innovation to deliver smarter, greener, and more efficient construction solutions. Our design team are utilising 3D printers to produce bespoke structural components and custom architectural features that would otherwise be obsolete items in today’s world. Printing these elements not only accelerates project timelines but also allows us to cut down on material waste.

One of the biggest advantages we’ve seen is the ability to create complex designs with precision and flexibility. For clients, this means more design freedom, faster delivery, and significant cost savings.

From residential projects to commercial developments, we are actively applying 3D printing to bring new levels of efficiency and innovation to our work. As the technology evolves, we are positioned at the forefront, ensuring our clients benefit from the speed, affordability, and design freedom it offers.

CASE STUDY:

Restoring Heritage Railings with 3D Printing in Marlborough

On a recent project in Marlborough, Wiltshire, a road traffic accident left the cast iron railings severely damaged. Traditionally, replacing these sections would have been both costly and time-consuming, as sourcing new cast iron components can be a real challenge.

This is where 3D printing makes a real difference. By producing precise replicas of the damaged parts, we’re able to restore railings and other street furniture that might otherwise have been dismantled and replaced entirely. The result is a significant cost saving, a faster turnaround, and a sustainable solution that preserves the original look. Once the replacement components are coated and finished, they blend seamlessly with the existing railings leaving a strong, authentic, and long-lasting result.
