Bridge fully reinstated using heritage-appropriate construction techniques
Hampshire County Council conducted regular progress audits and commended us for quality workmanship and project management
Hobbs Bridge had been in a state of disrepair due to a partial collapse. The M Group appointed us to carry out the full reinstatement of the structure, ensuring that the rebuild respected the bridge’s historical character while delivering a safe, durable solution for local residents.

M Group appreciated our ability to take ownership of the project, from refining the design to managing site operations. Minimal client involvement was required beyond initial briefings, enabling a smooth and efficient delivery.
Restricted Access to Properties – Access to site required negotiation with a local estate. We spoke directly with the estate management team, securing agreements and ensuring minimal disruption to residents and landowners.
Working Over Water – The bridge spanned a live watercourse, increasing health, safety, and logistical complexities. Safe access systems and waterway protection measures were implemented to safeguard both workers and the environment.
Narrow Road Access for Deliveries – The site was accessed via a single-lane road with limited turning space for vehicles. Deliveries needed careful coordination, with smaller loads scheduled at off-peak times to minimise disruption.
