Budget: £250,000 – £300,000
Duration: 1st December 2024 – 28th March 2025
Outcome: Delivered on time and within budget
Impact: Minimised time on site, high-quality bespoke installation, a fully satisfied client
Our client required a bespoke utilities engineering solution to securely run power cables along the exterior of a bridge structure located on the northern end of the River Darent. With limited fixing points, large spans, and the need for long-term durability, the project demanded a high level of design innovation and precise execution.
This was a Special Engineering Design (SED) project requiring a tailored solution from concept through to installation. Working collaboratively with Gateway Engineering, we developed and delivered a robust bracket and pipework system designed for a 120-year lifespan.

Despite challenges in the supply chain, our agile approach allowed us to bring in new partners, streamline logistics, and maintain programme delivery.
We provided a full end-to-end solution, taking overall responsibility on site and managing every aspect of the project from concept to completion. Our team coordinated the construction works, delivered innovative designs, and supplied high-quality fabricated components – all installed as per RAMS.

The client played an active role in setting the scope, approving designs, and supporting on-site logistics such as road space and access. Final sign-off was completed after successful quality checks and asset handover documentation.
With a long two-plus-year lead-in and delays in the supply chain, this project required flexibility and responsive problem-solving. We were able to deliver this on a sensitive, challenging, and bespoke project. We brought in new transport providers and ramped up logistics to stay on track and meet all deadlines.
This project demonstrates Triangle’s ability to take on complex, bespoke infrastructure challenges – providing intelligent design, rapid response, and full project ownership.
